Go to device manager and expand IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers. Right click the first controller (not the primary or secondary IDE channel). Choose update driver. Choose the option to install from a list or specific location. Click next. Highlight the standard dual channel PCI IDE controller, click next. The standard IDE controller will install. Now reboot and log in. the standard controller is completely installed. Shutdown the pc, remove the hard drive, and boot with the new motherboard.
